Psalms 23

1. The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.

여호와는 나의 목자시니, 내게 부족함이 없으리로다

2. He makes me lie down in green pastures,he leads me beside quiet waters,

그가 나를 푸른 풀밭에 누이시며 쉴만한 물가로 인도하시는도다

3. he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

내 영혼을 소생시키시고 자기 이름을 위하여 의의 길로 인도하시는도다

4. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

내가 사망한 음침한 골짜기로 다닐찌라도 해를 두려워하지 않을 것은 주께서 나와 함께 하심이라 주의 지팡이와 막대기가 나를 안위하시나이다

5. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

주게서 내 원수의 목전에서 내게 상을 차려 주시고 기름을 내 머리에 부으셨으니 내 잔이 넘치나이다

6. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

내 평생에 선하심과 인자하심이 반드시 나를 따르리니 내가 여호와의 집에 영원히 살리로다

 

the writer is David. he describes God as his Shephard.

this text is beloved by christian, so is often alluded and have been set to music.

 

 

sheep cannot live without shephard. because sheep don't have any weapon. and sheep cannot see more 10 meters.

we are same as the sheep. we cannot live without jesus. jesus is our shephard.

bible said we shall not be in want.

we have to know evidently we shall not be in want.  so we always expect God give us really good. so we always have to think positively, actively.

 

we christian have to think we have those we don't have right now. so, GOD will give us those.

we always have to decalare we have those, so that God will give us those.

our green pastures is under the cross.

iseiah 53: 5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.

 

anyone who believe in God is under the cross. so we can always be forgived and we can always be healed.

 

isaiah 40: 11 He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.

 

Bible said He carries close to his heart. and he said he the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that you may have life and have it to the full. (john 10:10)

 

He promised we may have life and have it to the full. so we have to think that we are not in want.

 

and this text says God leads us beside quiet waters. you have to know that there is a well under the cross. so we have to call to God under the cross.

God promised though john 4:14 whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst.

so that we can live without frustration.

 

Thirdly, this text says God revive our soul. and 3john 1:2 says also Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.

 

if we long for and worship God we become like this.

 

we are not alone. because God is alive and God is always with me. so Wd have to cast evey problem to the Lord.

 

we have to know God's promise. The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures,he leads me beside quiet waters, 3. he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
